THERMAL TRANSFER PRINTING

This technique is being used for printing writings, graphics and photos on textiles. A special machine presses a paper or a film with the motive applied against the material to be imprinted using high temperature. This transferring process is done under high pressure and high temperature.
This technique is chiefly used for imprinting t-shirts, sweatshirts, anoraks, caps, umbrellas, bags etc.

• Transfer screen-printing
  During this process a special paper is being used to transfer the dye on the material. The motive is screen printed inversely on the substrate and then transferred to the material by a thermal press. As a result one gets a perfectly even motive surface with very strong covering power and sharp edges. The motives remain extremely durable and can be applied on extraordinary areas e.g. seams etc.
• digital transfer printing
  Colourful print-outs for light-coloured and dark materials. A plotter prints the motive on a special base. After being cut out the motive is transferred to the material by a thermal press. The print-outs are remarkably durable and of high quality. They do not require any special preparations and may thus be produced in a small number of pieces.
• Sublimation print
  In this process a remote motive is printed onto a special paper. Subsequently the negative is transferred by a thermal press to white textiles, polyester knitted materials or other surfaces coated with white or transparent polyester (e.g. laminate or metal sheets). The result of this technology is a photographical quality of the print-outs and bright colours.
• Flex/ Flock films
  This technique is perfectly fit for small print runs (one may even produce only one piece). Characters and numbers are cut out of flex and flock films (slick or fuzzy) and pressed by a thermal press onto the material. This method is characterised by strong durability and high covering power, also upon dark materials. The edges of the motives are very straight and sharply contoured. This method is fairly used for unichrome printing upon textiles.
